Meditation
Meditation, for me, is magic. It’s where your breath, your being, and your busy mind finally sit down and have a cup of tea together. It’s where spirit can be heard and felt.
Meditation has opened my heart in ways I never expected. It’s made me softer, and more compassionate with others, and with myself. I used to be much more judgmental (yes, I’ll admit it!), but now I catch myself. I breathe. I choose to respond differently. I truly believe that when things go wrong, get hard, or you mess up, you must move forward and not stay stuck in the past. As Maya Angelou says, “When you know better, you do better.” And I’m still learning. Every single day. I may be a teacher, but I’ll also always be a student. Spirit has a funny way of giving me little (and sometimes not-so-little) reminders to stay open, stay humble, and keep growing.
There are a few quotes I hold close when I teach and practice:
“I want to love myself the way God loves me.” — Betty Guadagno
“Hurt people hurt people. Healed people heal people.”
And one of my own truths:
Accepting things as they are, without judgment or resistance… that’s where peace begins.
Meditation helps us get there. Whether it’s a cozy one-on-one indoors, a group under the open sky, or a quiet moment between you and your breath, the intention is always the same: to return to your center. To remember who you really are and that it all starts with loving ourselves.
When I’m in a funk or too much in my own head? I vacuum. (Seriously.) There’s something about the hum, the rhythm, the movement that helps clear the noise. Helps clear the space for stillness. And in that space, something shifts. That’s when I remember what really matters.
Because more than anything, it’s such a loving feeling to help people wake up to spirit, to guide them back to that quiet, powerful place that lives within themselves. To witness someone soften into the moment, reconnect with their breath, and realize they’re already enough… that’s the kind of magic that sticks.
Oh, and if you’re wondering about my personal happy place? It’s snuggled up with my sweet dog Sadie Lee, heart full, mind quiet. That’s meditation too. So is walking in nature with my kids, where we laugh, talk about the day, or just enjoy the peace that comes with reconnecting with nature. Nature is one of my greatest teachers—it grounds me, clears my energy, and reminds me to slow down and just be. Whether I’m out for a walk or sitting still, it all brings me back to presence—and that’s what this practice is all about.
Need a moment to yourself?
This is your invitation to slow down. In our guided meditation session, you’ll get the chance to breathe, reconnect, and create a little space in your day, just for you. No pressure, no experience needed. Just come as you are.
