Reiki for Animals

Animals are some of the most intuitive, spiritually connected beings I’ve ever met. They don’t overthink energy; they feel it. They don’t fear the spirit world; they understand it. And perhaps most beautifully, they carry such deep, unconditional love for us that they often try to absorb our pain just to lighten our load.

That’s why I do Reiki for animals. Because they deserve healing, too.

As a Certified Animal Reiki Practitioner, I’ve seen again and again how animals, especially those bonded with humans, will take on the stress, anxiety, or emotional pain of their person. It’s their way of protecting us. Loving us. But they shouldn’t have to hold it all. Reiki helps release that weight. It’s a calming, energetic reset—one that not only supports the animal’s own healing, but often reveals what’s going on in the human as well.

The connection is so intertwined that when I work with an animal, I’m often able to sense where their human needs healing, too. It becomes a beautiful feedback loop as we heal the animal, the human softens, and as the human becomes aware, the animal finds relief. That bond? It’s sacred.

Horses at a farm

Over the years, I’ve had the honour of working with dogs, cats, horses, cows, rabbits, and even a few more unconventional critters. Every one of them has something to teach us. And no matter the species, they all respond to Reiki with an open heart and an energy that says, thank you.

One of the most surprising (and amazing) things I’ve learned is just how tuned in animals really are. They respond to Reiki with open hearts and zero resistance. They know it’s safe. They know it’s love. I’ve had the honour of offering Reiki to cats and dogs through my work with the SPCA.

There’s something so powerful about witnessing an animal return to their true energy. To their calm, curious, natural, loving state. And when that happens? The whole dynamic of the home shifts. That’s the ripple. That’s the magic. That’s why I do this.
